Whether it’s hijacking a bamboo raft in a remote jungle in China

or lighting an entire city block with cranes and a crew of 20

or standing on the skid of a helicopter chasing down bikini-clad models on a yacht (it’s a tough gig),

for over fourteen years Shawn has been going to the extremes to capture the perfect shot.

Shawn Talbot is one of the busiest advertising photographers in Canada and has won numerous international advertising awards. He has been recognized for his exceptional work by Macleans Magazine, the Globe and Mail and National Geographic.

Despite acceptance to a prestigious American university Shawn instead chose to pursue eclectic training from numerous instructors at several universities across Canada. This is evidenced by the broad range of styles and techniques seen in his work.

Shawn spent a number of years working as a director of photography in Vancouver on commercials, music videos and feature films while also freelancing as an advertising photographer. He owns a high definition video package complete with editing suite and lighting kit.

The challenge Shawn loves the most is to take an art director or client’s vision and make it a reality. His broad range of experience with numerous subjects shot in different countries around the world always brings a fresh perspective to each assignment.
