When the weather in the Okanagan is not terribly conducive to shooting outside, it’s usually time to head indoors for some architectural photography.

In the last couple of weeks we have had the opportunity to shoot for some outstanding and talented clients that have completed some amazing architectural projects throughout the Okanagan. Our most recent shoot was for Lana Johnson of Intrigue Interior Design. Lana chose all design elements from concept to completion for this custom-built contemporary home in Vernon, BC.

Recently we were hired by the Coast Capri Hotel to capture some room shots. They had just completed a major renovation and offered Nina (my lighting assistant) and myself as much time as we needed to focus on lighting and to make each room shot really pop. I love it when a client says “we only need one shot – just make it great.”

We also had the pleasure of shooting some architectural interiors for a brand new beautiful home in Naramata recently. Ross and Michael have partnered up on a new venture called Solaris Custom Homes. We look forward to photographing many more of their stunning projects (including some aerials utilizing Rubicon’s UAV) once the weather begins to get a little better.

Last but not least, I would like to extend a HUGE “Congratulations” to my client Troika Developments. I have had the pleasure of shooting for Renee and Dan and the rest of the team over at Troika for several years now and they absolutely dominated at this year’s Gold Tommie Awards. Excellence in Customer Service…Multi-Family Builder of the Year…Single Family Home Builder of the Year…Community of the Year….Wow! It has been a real pleasure shooting for you. Now let’s do it again next year!
